The Paris‑Nice Challenge returns in 2026, offering passionate cyclists a unique sporting experience: ride on a portion of the prestigious route of the legendary professional Paris‑Nice race, also known as the “Race to the Sun”, in a friendly, sporty, and open-to-all atmosphere.
Scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026, the Paris‑Nice Challenge takes place in Nice (Quai des États‑Unis) and invites participants to cover the offered distances on open roads, following sections of the final stage of the famous international race.
This cycling event allows enthusiasts to step into the shoes of professional riders on a demanding, scenic, and historic route in the heart of Provence‑Alpes‑Côte d’Azur, with stunning views of the Mediterranean coastline and the Nice hinterland.
Several distances are generally offered to suit all levels: from routes of approximately 83 km with 1,854 m of elevation, up to more ambitious distances around 127 km or even 148 km with over 2,900 m of elevation, depending on your fitness level and sporting goals.
The Paris‑Nice Challenge is a fantastic opportunity to kick off your cycling season in style, take on a stimulating physical challenge, and most importantly, enjoy a day of sport in a friendly atmosphere alongside other cycling enthusiasts.
The event is part of the overall Paris‑Nice race, the legendary professional competition held a few days later, which each year attracts the elite of international cycling for a week of stages between the Paris region and the Côte d’Azur.
