Last December, Fanny opened a boutique that doesn’t come along often. We might call it a coffee shop to sound trendy, but it is much more than that. Fanny is a warm-hearted hedonist and a great lover of biscuits. So, she opened an establishment in Villefranche where mornings are enjoyable for lovely breakfasts and all day long as well to spend moments of sweetness.
At lunchtime, if you belong to the 20 privileged people that Fanny’s dining room can accommodate, you may choose between the day formula that varies from 10 to 12 euros. You also have the choice between quiches, salads, sandwiches, Panini or tartine au “gratin” and salad. As you see, the cuisine is fresh and balanced for a break meant to be soothing and friendly. One of the dishes that will become a must is the French fries: homemade with fresh potatoes every single day! That is a warm welcoming place where you will treat yourself with hot chocolate or a cup of tea with a homemade biscuit of course!
Fanny’s biscuits are undoubtedly the must have in the boutique. They are conceived and produced by her with passion. Since she was 14, she has baked cookies with unusual fragrances like lavender flower as well as Saint Paul de Vence mandarin along with more classical ones absolutely delightful. She also has jams of all sorts with all possible flavours.
The bee’s knees, the “Diamand” is a crumbly shortbread rolled in powder sugar before baking. Next comes “Drommar” made of orange powder and zest. Fanny uses exclusive spices, which she buys in Alsace and the secret of which is well kept, to flavour some biscuits and more particularly her jams.
A superb selection of gustatory pleasures awaits you in the boutique. Not only biscuits but homemade jams which Cathy, Fanny’s mum, enjoys cooking, fruit juice and nectar produced by Alain Milliat, a brand recognized as the best of the best for fruit juice.
Even before opening her boutique, Fanny Roux-Viale would sell her biscuits to baker’s shops, coffee shops and caterers and she keeps providing them today. That’s why she has her heart on having high quality products in her own shop.
How did that story start? First, Fanny’s dad found premises that were about to sell in Villefranche. And then the idea started growing. Fanny was convinced that there was a need for it and she launched her friendly and unusual boutique and success has come knocking!
Le Petit Immo team have become regulars of the place. Fanny’s “Petits biscuits” is a guarantee of enjoying exceptional tasty moments. We suggest you drop in one day and tell us what you think of it.
