Passing on the French Riviera, you want to visit our beautiful city of Nice but only have a short time? Don’t worry, CENTURY 21 Lafage Transactions has reserved its best tips for you to visit the azurean capital in one day!

Where to go for a walk in Nice?

Just landed at Nice Côte d'Azur Airport, a trip on the famous Promenade des Anglais is a must! On foot, by bike or by tram (the newline allows you to reach the city center in a few minutes), follow the seaside and enjoy the panoramic view of the Bay of Angels and the Mediterranean Sea. Take a few minutes to sit on the Chaises Bleues, a few meters from the pebble beaches, where tourists and locals meet!
Continuing your walk, after having crossed the prestigious buildings of the Promenade, you arrive at the level of the Place Masséna: with its red facades, its paving in checkerboard and its majestic fountain, it is one of the essential places of the Nice agglomeration. It is especially here that you can participate in the famous world-renowned Nice Carnival during the month of February!

What to visit in Nice?

A few steps further begins the «Coulée Verte», which extends to Place Garibaldi. Also known as Promenade du Paillon, this green setting in the city centre offers an ideal setting for a break, with family or friends, in the shade of trees and under the freshness of mist. You will find relaxation areas, playgrounds for your children, and even exhibitions and artistic events! At its end is the current Théâtre de Nice, the TNN, and the museum of modern and contemporary art, the MAMAC. Whether you are an amateur or not, we advise you to make a jump: the top floor offers a breathtaking view of the rooftops of the city!

What is the most authentic area of Nice?

You can then reach Vieux-Nice, a few steps away: the historic centre of the city, its narrow cobbled streets are well known to Niçois who like to go out with friends. Enjoy all kinds of specialties: socca, pan bagnat, pissaladière… What a glimpse of the authentic “Nissa la Bella”! Connoisseur tip: take a walk around Rossetti Square for an eccentric ice cream… The Cours Saleya, which separates the old town from the sea, is also worth seeing: at sunset, its old buildings are adorned with their most beautiful colors!

Where to go out at night in Nice?

But your stay is already coming to an end... And to end this beautiful day, what better than a drink on the terrace? In the Port de Nice district, the streets come alive at the end of the afternoon! Head to Bonaparte Street and its Place du Pin: full of bars, cafes and small shops, this area is so festive that it is sometimes nicknamed the Petit Marais Niçois!

Sit back and enjoy… you just had a real nissart day!
