HERITAGE: TODAY CENTURY 21 LAFAGE TRANSACTIONS TELLS YOU ABOUT THE POLICE BATHS!

This historic and emblematic site of the iconic Promenade des Anglais will reopen its doors after long months of work.

Formerly dedicated to the police after the Second World War, this place full of history was awarded to the concession of Castel Plage, the neighboring beach.
In 1947, the State had granted this privilege to police officers in gratitude for their heroic behavior during the liberation of Nice. Since then, this beach was managed on a voluntary basis.

Located at the end of the Quai des Etats-Unis, after Castel beach on the way to the Port, the site offers superb views of the Baie des Anges.

This place so loved by diving enthusiasts had been closed because of the risks incurred by swimmers due to diving from the bridge and the rocks. Too many accidents had happened there.

In 2015, the Alpes-Maritimes prefecture did not renew the concession made to law enforcement officers. Indeed, due to violent waves that had damaged the footbridge in 2014, the minor work done was not enough to bring the beach up to standard. The place was then abandoned.

In 2017, in order to comply with the requirements of the 2006 Beach Decree, the site was partly destroyed. Indeed, this decree stipulates that no permanent structure should remain on the coast.

In 2023, after long work carried out in close collaboration with the architect of the buildings of France, the establishment, next to Castel Plage, becomes an atypical place cut in the rock allowing the people of Nice to have lunch feet in the water.

We don't know about you, but we are anxious to discover it!
